After 34 days, 13 playoff games, and hundreds of entry picks from 99 contestants, the winner of this year's NFL playoffs contest is Aimee A! She scored a total of 3,435 points throughout the four weeks and correctly guessed the victors of 11 of the 13 playoff games, including the Super Bowl. She began the contest in 14th place, and steadily rose to climb atop the leaderboard and win the top cash prize of $248.
Jeff S finished in 2nd place with 3,320 points, winning $99. In 3rd place is Jacob B with a total of 3,315 points. He wins the 3rd place prize of $50. Ten contestants round out the Top 13, each winning $10: Edmund V, Edward D, Lynn D, Christine J, Jason L, Romeo G, Liam C, Rob N, Andria C, and Matt S. Congrats to the Top 13, especially for the first-time prize winners (Jeff S, Liam C, Lynn D, Matt S). And a special shout-out to Jacob B, who was the only contestant to correctly guess the victors of all 13 playoff games! That's happened only one other time, during the 2016 contest (John M. correctly guessed the victors of all 11 playoff games that year).

Overall, Jeff S and Lynn D improved the most in the rankings, each jumping up an impressive 68 places (from 70th to 2nd for Jeff, and from 74th to 6th for Lynn). Other contestants who made big comebacks in the contest were Nathan C (94th to 33rd), Rob N (65th to 11th), and Matt S (65th to 13th). Kai B performed the best among the 5 newcomers this year, finishing in 52nd place. There were a total of 33 contestants who were in the overall Top 13 at some point during the contest, and 14 contestants who made the overall Top 3. The contestants who scored the most points in WEEK 4 were: Lynn D (1,500 pts), John K (1,400 pts), Rob N (1,400 pts), Jason L (1,375 pts), Albert B (1,350 pts), and Xyla G (1,350 pts).

75 contestants correctly predicted that the Seattle Seahawks would win Super Bowl LX, but only Pat F got both the margin of victory and over/under correct as well. The Seahawks' defense dominated the Patriots, leading them to their 2nd Super Bowl championship.

All of the Top 13 contestants correctly picked the Seahawks to win -- that's how important the Super Bowl victor always is in determining this contest's winners. In an alternate universe where the Patriots mounted a big comeback to win the Super Bowl, the Top 3 contestants would have been Brian A in 1st, Brian D in 2nd, and Evan D in 3rd!

Throughout this contest I've always tried to be as thorough as possible, double- and triple-checking the results every week. But there's always the possibility for human error, even when using an Excel spreadsheet to make all the calculations. So to give everyone a chance to review the accuracy of this contest's final results, I will wait a few days before sending the Top 13 contestants their cash prizes (via their online payment method of choice, or check/cash). During this time, if anyone finds any errors/discrepancies in the entry picks or leaderboard scores, please let me know right away. You will have until Wednesday, February 11th at 11pm CST to inform me of any errors. After that time, I will award the winning contestants their prizes, and this year's contest will officially come to a close.
I hope you had as much fun with this contest as I did, and I look forward to doing it again next year. 'Til then, thanks for playing and God bless!
